Re: My Rott is peeing on me!

All those people hitting their dogs as a correction, don't give such dangerous advice. Verbal commands not working?! Amazing- so you're shocked your dog wasn't born understanding English? You think a few good bops on the nose makes you the pack leader? All hitting does is make you the pack bully. Your dog doesn't respect you, he fears you. You can tell which dogs have gotten hit, bopped or call it what you may, they are the ones that have bitten out of fear or cower at a hand reaching to pet them. It makes them unsure of themselves and give them, at some point in time, the determination to defend themselves. It will happen. You're dog is only 1 yo, still a pup. So you just keep bopping and I would like to hear how he turns out at 2 or 3 years old if you keep that up. He'll either be peeing himself in a corner or giving you a good fight. I am far from an expert but do have the sense not to hit my dog. I've learned from extremely talented and educated trainers and yes, the people on here, the correct way to train. If I had to resort to hitting my dog, it would be time to give him up, admit I wasn't able to handle such a breed and enroll myself in anger management.
"Well said tip"- hardly...
