Yes; I have hit my dogs before.
For doing something foolish.
I never hit them hard ENOUGH TO HURT.
And I would NEVER hit a puppy. That's like hitting a baby.
I do feel terrible about that 1 time i hit my dogs.
I'll never do it again.
I didn't even hit her hard i hit her like patting someone on the back.
But;; your dog is trying to see what it will get away with. You need to put an end on it and put him in time out or in obidiance classes.
