Ok, stop suggesting to others to slap their dogs. Regardless of what you want to call it, slapping, hitting, bullying is not the way to deal with dogs. If you want to correct the behavior, get a leash and collar on the dog and give a good, firm, strong correction. No need to hit or slap the dog.
A dog can understand it immediately if you do it the right way. Slapping a dog is NOT the right way. You can get attention other ways as well, slapping a dog is not a good way to get attention. I feel bad for your dogs in fear that if they do something wrong, that you will SLAP them.
