With the HD I would go for slightly underweight but so long as you are feeding quality kibble or a good RAW diet, you shouldn't have to worry about malnutrition.

I for one find that the what those body condition charts say is and ideal body condition is a little overweight for a very active dog. My guy, according to those pictures, would be underweight but he's got energy to spare , has a healthy coat and is generally quite healthy so I don't think he's malnourished at all!
