Mambo produces much better dogs overall when bred to a tall, substantial bitch. Ex, Herbie, Maik vd Frankentanne are all examples. Amigo, Lewis and some other sons are short 62-63cm tall but have the typey head/ short muzzle which is the 'Mambo look'. If the female is 61-62+cm tall and has the substance, I think some of the shorter males would be OK.

As far as Balou stuff, Carlos is a super choice. His brother Colt is in Australia and is a big brute. Love the bottom side line ( Quinta) of those two also..

I have a Balou grandson out of Odo and he has the super Odo headtype but is super compact ( 66cm tall / 67cm length) like his dam who is a Gekort bitch. The Balou type mixed with tons of temperment was what I was looking for and got it!
