Wow, that is pretty big for an 8 month old female!
And before I say anything, if you don't have her in obedience classes, I'd get signed up!
We NEVER tell Vegas anything twice or raise our voice at her. slap a leash on your pup and leave it on her and put treats all over the house (up out of her reach of course). Then, you always have control.
For example. Tell her to come, and if she doesn't you can give her a tug and then treat her when she comes! Or if you're eating and want her to down, you can tell her down and she doesn't you can put her in a down using the leash and treat. When she starts obeying on the first command, you can take the leash off.... but as soon as she doesn't listen, physically go over and make her do what you said, and then treat.... then the leash goes back on.
Always make sure its positive though, but with the leash, you always have control. You're gonna have a big girl on your hands, so you're gonna want her to listen without having to scream. :)
