I agree! If you want a well bred Rottie pup from a good breeder you will have to often get on a waiting list. While you are waiting, put away $150 - 200. each month...and you will soon have the money saved up for a great pup.

Don't buy a puppy from the newspaper ads, only BYB's put in ads selling pups. You may get a pup for $500-700. for the initial cost, but then end up spending thousands on medical problems in the future. Things like hip dysplasia, allergies, heart problems, immune problems often don't show up till the pup is a bit older. If you line the pockets of a BYB with your money, they are tempted to breed their dog again....this is what shelters and rescues are full of... BYB dogs.

Either save up for a well bred pup, or adopt a rescue....either from a shelter or a Rottweiler rescue.
