If you truly do, then either support these actions or propose an alternative. The LA law sounds rather overreaching, but it is in the right direction. We don't live in the Wild West anymore, and Manifest Destiny has proven to be a very flawed philosophy, so we are going to have to make agreements (laws) to remain a civil society.
Hi guys!

This is my first post in ages, so for that reason alone I may be in trouble here!

I personally feel this is a *step* in the right direction. Is this fair? Probably not. But, how many times have we commented on here about the results poor breeding has left upon our community?

Would somebody mind sharing an opinion regarding religion on this issue? I promise not to disect it - I just personally an unfamiliar with this.

I had Sadie spayed when she was 9 months old...unbeknownst to me, she was in heat, bled out on the table, and cost me several hundred $$$ because her procedure was considered "high risk." For that reason I would honestly consider ammending this law to make the pups younger for their altering.

But, with that said, this is a shame to the community of responsible breeders. This really is a catch 22 - I am so torn on this issue. As a rottie owner who simply wanted a family pet, I can agree with this law. But as a member of a responsible rottweiler community, I also feel otherwise.

What a shame that things have come to this. Imagine - if people would just breed and purchase/adopt dogs responsibly this would not even be an issue.
