I have a 9 month old male rottie and whenever i have company over he gets EXTREMELY excited for the first person. He will run around full speed and jump all over the place and bite on their hands, he wont bite aggressively but he does bite hard enough that it hurts. This will go on for about 15 minutes or so then he'll calm down. After that first 15 minutes he wont care who else comes over, he'll greet them at the door for a minute then go sit down or lay down. Lately i have started making him sit or lay down when someone is at the door which helps a little bit but he still does the biting of the hands when they try to pet him. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
