I have taken her to the Vet., he susptected food allergies. I have fed her only premuim dog foods from Innova, California Natural, to Premium Edge & ect. Tried everything from no grains, to chichen, beef, turkey, salmon & potato. I have been battling this for 1.5 to 2 yrs. now and the vet has given me a steriod(spray) for her bottom & I have been giving her benadryl but the spray does not work & the benadryl helps the itching but makes her tired and drowsy all day.
I now have her on Premium Edge Chichen Healthy weight(she is a little over weight) till I get her weight back to normal. But since cutting her back on benadryl, the itching and dragging her bottom is constant.But I do notice she has way more energy.(Which is why I cut her back) Her coat is nice but she has sores in between her toes from chewing & a few around her lips from scratching herself so hard. I clean her ears every week, they look fine but have a little smell to them all the time. But if I don't clean them every week .....infection shows up shortly after. If anyone has any insite on this PLEASE me know! Thanks!  |
