It seems like people here "understand" that they are intelligent dogs...then why don't you think that your dog would ever be "mean" to a stranger? These dogs SENSE people's attitudes and motives. I find it hard to believe that anyone's Rottweiler has never been weary of or protective from a stranger, ever. My Rottie is a big teddy bear and almost always loves strangers, and only ever attacks with kisses, but you better believe that if he sees someone "shady" he will give a warning growl. Give them more credit. |
