It could work if the dog is mature and has training?
The breeder of the Shiba Inu should be notified before the dog is taken to a shelter as well as Shiba Inu Rescue.

I would never recommend another young dog or a dog the same age to be adopted...but with a dog that is 3 and well trained..it could work? The trained dog could be a good influence on your dog. If you keep up with the training on your dog...and keep up with training on the Shiba?? You also must think of cost...twice as much on food, vet bills...including HW and flea prevention,etc.
