Well, if you only worry about ONE thing you read on this site, please make it be the advice to NEVER send a dog away for training! First of all, you have NO idea what is being done to your dog (and there are some horrid methods used by "send your dog to me for two weeks and I'll fix everything" trainers), second of all the dog will bond with the person that does the training, so where does that leave YOU? This type of trainer is accepting a fee for "results", and they don't want to disappoint you.....so they will tend to use some unsavory tactics to get the dog "trained" in that short a time.

Training is for life. It's not a 6 session group class, and it's not a two week send-away. It's for the life of the dog. Please FIND the time to do right by your dog.
