Good food will definitely make a big difference and the fish oil will help in the cold months of the year when the heat is really cranked up. Just like humans get dry skin, so will a puppy. However you will also notice a lot of dandruff once your puppy starts to blow out their puppy fur and grow in adult fur. Bongo's only been fed high quality food and I added fish oil in the winter, but once he started growing in that adult coat, no amount of oils or brushing could fix that dandruff. Within 3 weeks the worst was over, but don't get frustrated when he starts growing his adult coat... there really isn't much you can do! |
