| Re: Rocky is scheduled for neuter... FYI, Whenever I have an "older" dog neutered, I discuss anesthesia options with my vet...some are much easier on older dogs than others. What anesthesia is used can make a huge difference on post-op recovery. Certain anesthesias are easier on the kidneys, and the dog recovers much faster as well. I've heard of a couple of rotti's (one on this board) whose dogs started seizuring post-anesthesia and it was ultimately linked to the type anesthesia used.
My current foster is also a Rocky!! Good luck with your boy.
