well in my case it IS in my contract that the name must start with Frontier AND the letter of that litter. When the buyers come I help them fill out the papers with an appropriate name they chose (unless the pup is here beyond 12 weeks in which case I name it) THEN the buyers write a check to AKC and I staple it to the registration and "I" mail all the litters papers at once together.

I take NO chance that the name will be changed. I am even changing my contract to say that the name cannot be changed later. I bred it by God my kennel name will stay on it
