While this is a good management tool until training is solid, it's important for you to understand that
he didn't LEARN anything! The reason that collar works is simply physics, and nothing more. He doesn't pull because he CAN'T, not because he had a light bulb moment. When you take that collar off, he's going to be the same as he was before you put it on.
If you want a reliable dog (and I can't imagine why you wouldn't), then training classes are a MUST, not an option.
