Re: Puppy won't stop biting need help!

Although most of this has been said in the previous two posts, there is no way the pup is house trained at 8 weeks. Even if he were house trained, dogs don't pee in the house to be vindictive. I have a nine week old male and I have been dealing with the nipping, chasing, biting, etc. Re-direction needs to be constant, constant, constant. I know it seems that its not working, but it WILL work. He's still learning and he needs time to understand whats expected of him. You need to remind him constantly, what is appropriate and what isn't.
I don't let my pup jump up near anyones face, nor do we put our faces down near his. Again, with this whole learning process, he has yet to be taught that biting the neck, face or anywhere else on your body, isn't appropriate.
Keep your chin up (literally.....LOL) and know that if you teach your pup with patience and consistancy, in turn he will become a well behaved and faithful companion.
This whole site has some amazing threads with tons of helpful info. When I find myself getting frustrated, I remind myself that I need to read more, learn more and implement more.
