The contract doesn't say anything about having to give up the pup. It just says we will get a new pup of the same quality, so I don't really know if that means from the same parents or what. I did get Gary as "pet quality" because he was born with a small white spot on his chest (and they are keeping my AKC paperwork until I get him neutered, not like the paperwork means anything anyways), so I'm thinking it means I would just get another pet quality puppy.
Even if I ended up having to return a dog, I definately would not do it. If it turned out that my dog did have to be put to sleep because it was so bad, then I would just have to see how I felt before getting another puppy....which I WON'T be because I don't want to get another puppy mill puppy anyways. I would look for a different breeder.
