My first Rottie was from a byb. He didn't have a clue that breeding should only be done for the betterment of the breed-neither did I or I wouldn't have given him the time of day. Well, Rommel WAS beautiful but had the fault of having long hair- amoung others including temperment issues. So many people asked me would I breed him with their females. Looking back, I cringe that I would be asked that by other owners! Thankfully, I never took them up on that. Even with my lack of knowledge I declined. Just because they CAN doesn't mean they SHOULD.
