well like I said... all of you know about all of this breeding stuff but I (like most of the people) DID NOT. I'm not into the breeding business nor shows... the only thing Im good at is taking care of a rottweiler and having it as a part of my family. I had one for 8 yrs, but didn't buy it myself. When I moved to quebec (from Germany), I realised that there are very little rottweilers here and that they are WAAAY too expensive! In fact, I also found that (according to the definition of a BYB that I've learnd here recently) aprox 98% of rottweiler breeders here are BYB! Therefor I just assumed that this is standard here in Quebec and after visiting my BYB, I tought of his paperless female to be very much according to standards and without a folt (with a GREAT temperament!) The stud wasn't there but his papers assured me well enough.

Sooo, any average guy (in this area) without the knowlege provided here on this forum, WILL do the same thing that I did. Quality puppies remain way out of reach, for an average person (money wise, and breeder wise...) and even BYB puppies are expensive here!

This all sounds great now, and it's very cristal clear to me (what are you guys trying to explain to me) but at that time... I HAD NO CLUE about selective (paper only-dogs) breeding and it did make perfect since to me, to buy the puppy that I did. I had no clue about this waiting list thing so I didn't have the same perspective as people that know alot about this. You're just acting as if I was supposed to be born knowing... that's why I feel attacked

Finaly, some1 said something about how BYB puppies are suffering while implying my puppy's health. Maybe so, but let it be clear: my puppy is NOT suffering atall and I don't see any reason why would it suffer in future!

Finaly, what can I say, if there's going to be a next time for me, I will do it the right way FOR SURE!
