We got our puppy just outside of Ottawa from a COE breeder. So there are some in your area. We drove almost 6 hours to pick him up. We also waited a year for him and I spent a year before that researching the breed and looking for a reputable breeder. I also had a vet before picking him up and already knew where to take him for classes.
If you can't afford $1000+ for a dog, how do you expect to afford medical bills, training, food, toys? One of the reasons breeders charge the prices they do is to make sure you can afford to take care of them once they join your family.
