It`s all good you weren`t that hard on me hehe :)
I live In Gatineau, QC, Canada. I payed 600$ for my cutie, + I had to provide for her first shots. And like I said, even after joining here and reading all about BYB, I still feel lucky to own a Rottweiler at all! It took me 3 months to find him. It seems as if there are simply not many Rottweilers in my area. Oh yea... had a 2h drive to North Ontario to pick up my puppy!
I understand that it will probably add-up at the end of the road (in medical expenses), but again... I can`t aford to pay a minimum of 1000$ cash for a puppy from a reputable breeder. Those are the prices, belive me I know it all too well. :)
However, I admit... If I joined here prior that I got the pup. I wouldof probably waited until the summer and get the 1000$ one from a local breeder. Still, lets not miss the point that it is toooo expensive for any average buyer!
Finaly, my vet tolled me that my puppy has a heart murmur (type 1 or 2, on a scale that goes up to 6). We need to wait until she`s (atleast) 4 months to know if she`s going to have any complications because of it. I just hope it disapeirs or stays at that level.
