since September 07 we have had a few dog attacks, the first being 4 american bulldog x attacked and killed 2 people within 500ft of each other, the second was the other day when 2 pitbulls killed a horse, her injuries were so severe she had to be put down, now the owner of the 2 dogs is being charged and is possibly going to serve jail time, I understand he/she is fully responsible for the dogs, and that they should be thankful it was a horse and not a human, but what Im wondering about is (please if anyone can help with the answer) is if you go to jail for your dogs killing another animal, why is it that people dont get charged when leaving weapons( loaded guns) that takes a humans life, dont get me wrong its horrible for this poor horse, but you can replace an animal you cant replace a human please dont think Im not an animal lover because of that comment

I agree the dogs should have been put down which they were, and I agree the owner shouldnt own dogs anymore, But I dont think banning the breeds is the answer or putting the owner in jail( unless it was a human)

Im sorry if you all dont understand my way of thinking but Im so boggled by this maybe its just this county I live in, and if the dogs owners are charged and sentenced I will have pleanty to say, since the owners of the gun that killed my son were the ones responsible got off with no punishment nor did the boy..
