Correction collars, haltis, and such are merely training tools. It would serve you better to learn how to communicate properly with him, and learn how to teach him what you expect of him. A correction does no good if the dog hasn't been trained, and doesn't know exactly what you expect of him. Learning how to give a proper correction, and when to give it is paramount in humane treatment.
Improper corrections lead to nagging (mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy...), and to be fair and just with your boy, learning how to manage him will only make your relationship better.
