I have done this for our agent. Also keep in mind that many agents give a reward/kickback or whatever you want to call it if you refer someone else to them. I am always trying to get as many people as I can to go with our agent. Not for the kickback but to show support to a company who doesn't discriminate against certian breeds. My agent one time asked me if I wanted a job there:)
I also tell people when they switch to write a letter to their old insurance company telling them why they changed. Just be sure to mail the letter to the home office and not the agent. This way the corporate headquarters know the real reason and the agent can't make excuses as to why they are losing customers.
