Static sometimes helps me with the shopping. He will carry things inside - but i generally only give him a tissue box, or a roll of something. He is always very proud of hismelf, when he makes his destination, but he knows he will get a treat!
He carried the newspaper in for the first time last night actually!! I don't know who was prouder, him or my boyfriend. My boyfriends old dog (lab, heeler mix) used to have the job of collecting the mail and paper, and he thinks that Static will be able to do the same, but i think the abundance of slobber from Static is a sort of a problem.
He will often bring home a stick from the park, or carry his travel water bowl home.
but, we only live across the road from the park, i doubt he would carry anything home if it was a long walk ... he isn't that dedicated!!! |
