thanks to all for the helpful replies.

I'm not concerned about picking my pup I just want the right pup for us.

You need to educate yourself more on this forum. With your attitude you're likely to end up with an adult that is unsociable and nervous around people (which increases the chances of an accidental bite). Scary.

I have educated myself on this forum and realize I have a lot yet to learn. this is my first post. notice when I first registered here.

our girl is "weak nerved" as I understand from my research here. she loves everyone and has never met a stranger. she has a very low protective drive.

when I say I want our next dog to not be so accepting of strangers I'd prefer a dog that's calm, cool, and collected when they meet someone new.

When Hannah meets a stranger her nub goes nuts and she wants to kiss and love on them almost like they're a member of the family she hasn't seen in a week. I'm sure if I hadn't taught her to not jump up on people she'd do that too.

I wouldn't mind having a pup that would make a good PP candidate. I just won't be training for it. after researching PP I realize it's a big responsibility that I'm not willing to take on at this point in my life. I'm in my early thirties and have a young family. from my research I've gathered that proper PP candidates have an even temper, not aggressive yet not aloof, with nerves of steel. and make a good addition to the family.

I hope I've explained myself better. I sometimes find it hard to get my point across with written words.

Karla,

thanks for the info. I looked up LKC and will try to attend.
