Definitely have a vet checkup first to make sure your dog doesnt have any health problems. If your dog is going in the same spot, he might be smelling it and think its okay to go back and do it again like Brunie's mom suggested. Nature's Miracle works well for any potty accidents. It completely removes the odor so the dog will not know that he went there in the past. You might also try a regular schedule for going potty, like every few hours or so and shortly after meals.
