| Re: This weeks reputation spolier According to the newspaper(reliable?) the dog had been turned loose by its owner.
It had been in kennels 6 weeks and was thought to be 'safe'. It attacked the kennel maid when she went into its run, not while being excercised as previously thought. It grabbed at her coat when she went into its run,she thought it wanted to play as apparently she and the dog were 'friends'....but seems it was trying to floor her.
She tried to protect her neck and face, quite sensibly i would have thought, but the dog laid into her arms. She was bitten over 100 times according to the BBC news.
She has lost one arm from the elbow..they are battling to save the other.
I cannot imagine the sheer terror...it dosen't bear thinking about.
The dog wasn't chained in its run.
It must have been doubly terrible as the dog was a favorite of hers.
She was an experienced kennel maid.
The dog has been PTS.
Its heartbreaking...allready people are pointing Shanti out as 'one of those killer dogs'
I am keeping her leashed on walks right now. Poor girl dosent know whats going on, but ive only had her a couple of months, and although she appears to have a lovely temperament im going to waiting until her basic training is complete and I can have absolute faith in her. |
