| Re: Roman or standard rottweilers So-called "Roman" Rottweilers are out-of-standard freaks, but you can't charge an arm and a leg for an "out-of-standard freak" (just like you can't charge an arm and a leg for a mutt, but you CAN charge an arm and a leg if you call it a "Goldendoodle").
My view is: if you're going to breed a purebred dog, breed it to the breed standard, if you want to create a new breed, then follow the time-consuming, expensive, hard work steps involved in doing so ethically. But don't pretend that breeding mutant Rottweilers and giving them a name is anything but unethical.
