You are a brave wonderful person for not letting Roxie suffer the demons any longer. What you did was free her. To constantly live in fear is no way to live. While I know how much it hurts and will hurt for a long time, you must realize that you did the right thing. You took the hurt to yourself and freed her from her hurt. I know the feeling of "if I'd tried this longer, maybe". The truth is, it wouldn't have gotten better, it would have gotten worse for her. You didn't give up on her, you gave her peace.
