I know of a vet that would have done the same thing, my daughter in law. She first would have offered to pay for the dog and if the owner wouldn't accept the money, then she would have told this _itch where to go and don't let the door hit her in the butt.
I'm giving myself some condolence in this rotten situation by thinking that this dog owner did this dog a favor. If they had such disdain for it to PTS, can you imagine what they would have done if they just forgotten about him period. So sometimes, death isn't all that bad. OK, my simple logic trying to make a wrong into a right!! This just ticks me off to no end.
