This must have been the hardest decision of your life but also the wisest.
You put an end to Max's suffering. You said he was suffering, so don't feel guilty, you just ended his torture.
He is in a better world now playing with so many other dogs and above all painfree.
I know it hurts a lot losing your 13 yo buddy but try to be strong and remember the happy moments you shared.
