My Ceasar is with his brother now...

We put Ceasar down this morning after he took a turn for the worst on Thursday nite. He went to the hospital on Saturday morning and we made one last attempt to keep him with us. His regular vet was away for the weekend but I was in touch with him and he made the decissions for his treatment. I spent the whole day with him yesterday and he ate and just layed with me while I talked to him for hours. Our vet went there late last nite when he got off the plane and tried to get him to get up, and he didn't, just kept knuckling over on his feet. So this morning we talked and Ceasar was tired and he looked it. Our vet said, He stayed around for me and came back from his past illnesses just to stay with me. This time he was to tired although he tried, I know it, his body would not allow him too.. He went very peacfully with me and his dad right there with him. His brother Thor was told to be there for him at the bridge and I know he wouldn't let us down. The hard part now is I know I will not see him again and just our memories remain, which are so MANY! I especially remember in the snow when he would play w/ me and poke his nose under the snow and kick it at me. Whe you would ask him where mommy was, he would grumble all the time. He was always close by me even when he didn't feel well, and always had him big head somewhere on me or near me. I could go on forever. A true companion and son and so very much loved by his family. He was 11 years old on Oct. 1st and although he had some things going on this past year, he was a very happy baby! We believe he had a leaison at the stem of his brain and whatever happened Thursday disabilitated him. I will forever love you Ceasar and Thor too. Yous are my heart and always will be. I want to Thank you all for your support and thoughts. Debbie Ervin and Family
