I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. many hugs and good thoughts for you during this most difficult time.
We put our lab down last week...my 5 year old is quite devastated (as we all are but my son and I are most devastated and we cry--if anyone brings him up he tells us to "stop talking about him because you are making me sad" and then proceeds to cry). we talk about all the funny memories and we honestly go from crying to laughing and giggling. it's really helped me to heal this way. I started talking about happy things about our lab for my son and it helped me sooo much...because I was truly giggling over the silly things he did. but we grieve in our own ways.
