I live in Clovis, New Mexico and the shelters do not check for Micro chips all my rottweilers are microchipped but only the vet can check for them here and a limited number of vets can do this.
I pay as much to spay and neuter my kitten as my dog here and many refuse to treat rottweilers in the area my Mom recently paid as much to neuter her chihauha as I pay for my rottweilers.
If your rottweiler is picked up by the pound they make you sign that you will spay or neuter your dog within a time frame I told them NO it is not my dog I'm only picking them up for my son who is working and wrote refused on it and had to pay a larger fine.
They also say they cannot enforce this and we do not have licensing here either. |
