[Mojave's Mom]

One year ago today we took you to your favorite swimming spot, baked you a cake and 'ice cream', and I took a million pictures of you running like mad through the open fields. I'll never forget the smile on your face when I asked if you were having a good birthday.

We've moved into our new home. Your crazy siblings love it here. We just wish you were able to be here to enjoy it with us.

I miss you, Mojave. The tears still fall and my heart still aches, but I feel you with me. Happy 8th birthday, pooh-bear.
