I think this next step is going to be a tough one indeed. It's pretty easy to get almost anyone to see the wrongs and horrors of the filthy puppy mills that are the subject of most of the news stories.
It's a lot harder to educate the average person, especially the average person who had no idea that the wait for a quality puppy might be closer to a year than a month, in making the distinctions between a back-yard breeder and a quality breeder.
