Post Re: When will my pup sleep through the night?

How old is your puppy?
It does seem like you are getting up a little too much with your puppy. Crying and carrying on in the crate is all part of puppyhood.

I think getting up once during the night for the first couple of weeks is all that is needed. Once the pup is about 10 -11 weeks old they can usually make it through from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. or so.

It is stressful to have a new baby, and it's stressfull to have a young puppy....but they do grow up quickly and if you want to train them not to urinate in their crate...the it's best if you take them out.

Do you take up the water by about 8-9 p.m.? If you take away the water, and take the pup out by 11 p.m., they should do better. Cover the crate with a sheet...or at least one end of it...this often keeps them quiet longer.

Have fun, and enjoy!
