A show can be very stressful for the newbie(s). I feel that it's very important for the both of you to get will your guy is young. You may not accomplish much because of the first time gitters but you may also be pleasantly surprised! Definatley take some classes and get feed back from your breeder and other handlers. If your not quit comfortable doing it on your own yet ask (possilbly pay) a handler to help out. I've personally found others to be very helpful in my quest taking on the showring. And yes even those elussive professionals can be willing to give pointers.
