Sadly, we have 5 urns now on the mantle. Lucy (95 lbs) and Merlin (130 lbs) are in what looks like the size and shape of a round 1 lb cookie tin but decorated with scrolls and hearts on the top. Nimue (95-100 lbs) is in a similar sized tin. And Mariposa (80 lbs) is in a square flowery tin that is about 4" on each side and 6" tall. Moose (115-120 lbs) is in a wooden box that is about the size of Mari's tin, but on its side with mitered edges and a little base. Lucy, Mari & Nimue's tins have extra room inside. Merlin's is packed pretty tightly. And so is Moose's.
I keep saying I'm going to plant them beneath roses, but my husband won't let me. He dusts them off, arranges them with their dog tags on top, and talks to them when he thinks nobody is watching. |
