Fenris was 13.5 pounds at 8 weeks, and is now 74.6 pounds at 7 1/2 months, so he seems pretty well within standard. I'd be kind of amazed to see a 25 pound 8 or 9 week puppy. The crate size sounds fine, although we ended up just holding him in our laps for the 4 hour trip home, so you might want to keep in mind that if he gets upset, that would probably be more reassuring than the crate while driving. |
