Champion Dogs continue to show, to try to get Nationally Ranked.
Every time they win Best of Breed they get to count every dog they defeat in the Breed ring. So if there were 25 dogs entered, they would accumulate 24 'points' for defeating the other 24 dogs in the ring.
It woud be the same for taking Group placements. If they took a Group 1, they would get to count EVERY dog entered in the individual breeds in the Working Group (ie: Dobermans, Newfoundlands, Akitas, etc).
The AKC counts these dogs defeated points, and rank the dogs in the Rottweiler breed, as well as how they rank against the other Working Dogs.
And the American Rottweiler Club counts these dogs defeated points towards the Top 20 for the breed. (ARC also counts Best of Opposite Sex wins towards the Top 20 total points).
