My advice is a little off to the side of your original request, but I would recommend not ruling out show or agility stuff for your Rott's future. We were in the same boat until we really started researching the good breeders and their pedigree(s).
Once we saw what we were getting, showing and agility seemed more like a responsibility to the breed than anything else!
It doesn't hurt, either that many breeders really appreciate seeing their puppies get titles/awards/etc. Warm fuzzies and good reputations for everybody, Rott included. |
