My Rottie used to sleep with me until I got married as well. Then he had to move to the floor next to me. Of course, he wasn't happy about it and for about one month or so, he would pee on hubby's clothes every chance he got if they were on the floor. He eventually got used to the idea after I had him sleep in his "place" on the first floor for awhile. After about 3 weeks, he was happy to be back in the bedroom next to me.
