TRACY, Calif. (AP) - City officials in Tracy are seeking to euthanize two Rottweilers that have been declared vicious after attacking a girl and mauling her poodle to death.
The attack happened last Sunday, when an eleven-year-old girl was walking her own dog, Lucky.
Jasmine Duong says the Rottweilers bit Lucky, then grabbed and shook him violently until he died. Jasmine suffered bites to her hand but didn't need stitches.
Animal control officers this week declared the dogs as vicious, allowing them to be euthanized under Tracy's vicious-dog ordinance. The declaration may be appealed within ten days.
