When both of my old guys reached 7 years, I did a senior blood panel to make sure all was well. It is just peace of mind because things can sneak up really fast.
It is really important to not let her gain too much weight at her age, in fact, if you can keep her on the light side, it is better for her.
If there are any kind of change in a senior dog, as you mentioned above, I would get her into the clinic ASAP because things happen and before you know it, you missed the boat.
