Hi Peter, my boy has elbow dysplasia too, luckily, his hips are fine...my breeder was devastated as this was the first in her breeding history...I chose not to go down the road of surgery as my vet told me he is dubious of the benefits, so my lad has monthly injections (he will have this till he is two and then only in winter) and he has glucosamine (glycoflex III) once a day....he is doing well, has almost full extension and never seems to be in pain, loves nothing better than getting free in the fields and having zoomies......at the end of the day you have to do whats right for you..Bracken is 14 months now and was diagnosed at 5 months.....I feel I made the right decison in not having surgery.
