We have a foster, somewhere between 8 mo and a year who, when he gets excited, becomes mouthy....sounds similar to your girl. What we've learned is that ANY interaction feeds the behavior. When our boy gets wound up, we stop, fold our arms, and look up at the ceiling...you can also try keeping your back to her also while ignoring her...the point is NO INTERACTION. Once we do that our foster looses interest within a few seconds...usually just stands there looking at us. At that point (when calm), praise the behavior and treat (to reward calm behavior).
